Collision and Body Repair in Lavon

Each repair below has its own page explaining what's involved. Road damage usually touches more than one: a deer strike can mean a bumper, a grille, a headlight, a radiator support and a sensor or two. One estimate covers it all. You don't need the right words. Tell us what happened and we'll take a look.

What a Deer Strike Really Damages

From the outside, a deer strike often looks like a cracked bumper and a broken headlight. Behind that bumper is where the real cost hides. The radiator and air-conditioning condenser sit just inches back, along with plastic brackets, the hood latch, washer bottles and, on newer vehicles, the radar or camera that runs the safety systems.

A car can drive away from the scene with a slow coolant leak or a sensor knocked out of aim, and the driver won't know until the engine runs hot or the warning lights come on. That's why every front-end repair here starts with the bumper off and a proper look.

If it's damaged, it goes on the estimate with photos. If it's fine, we tell you that too, so you're not paying for parts that didn't need replacing.

Why Lavon Drivers Bring Road Damage Here

Out here, cars and trucks get used hard. They tow boats to the lake, haul feed and tools and cover a lot of highway miles. A repair has to hold up to that.

  • We know this kind of damage

Deer, debris, gravel and trailer bumps are a regular part of the work.

  • Nothing left behind the bumper

Cooling, lighting and sensor damage is found during teardown, not after you leave.

  • Trucks and SUVs welcome

Pickups, family haulers and work vehicles are repaired with the same care as cars.

  • No upselling

If something's worn but not damaged, we'll mention it and leave the choice with you.

Driving in and Around Lavon

Lavon sits on the east shore of Lake Lavon, and SH 78 carries most of the traffic through it, west toward Wylie and the causeway and northeast toward Copeville and Farmersville. SH 205 heads south toward Rockwall County, and the farm-to-market roads branch off into open country. It's a fast-growing town on roads that were built for fewer cars.

That mix brings its own damage. Deer cross the highways at dawn and dusk, especially in fall. Gravel and construction trucks drop rocks onto windshields and hoods. Narrow shoulders and soft edges catch mirrors and wheels, and boat trailers at the lake ramps lead to plenty of low-speed bumps.

Spring hail and summer heat add to it. Whatever the cause, the approach is the same: find all of the damage, repair it properly and get the vehicle back on the road.

Small Hits That Shouldn't Be Ignored

A rock chip in the hood or a pit in the windshield seems minor. Left alone, a chip through to bare metal starts to rust, and a small windshield crack can spread across the driver's view with the next cold morning or rough stretch of road.

We repair chips before they spread, replace glass when a repair won't hold and check that cameras mounted behind the windshield are working afterward. It's quick work compared with fixing rust or a cracked windshield later.

Serving Lavon and Nearby Towns

Lavon sits between Wylie to the southwest and Copeville and Farmersville to the northeast, with Nevada to the southeast and Princeton across the lake. Most customers reach us in a few minutes, and plenty come in from the surrounding towns.

  • Roads we know

SH 78, SH 205, the lake roads and the farm-to-market routes. Tell us where it happened and we'll know the stretch.

  • Same thorough teardown

A truck from Farmersville gets the same behind-the-bumper inspection as one from down the road.

  • One number to call

Estimates, tows and repair questions all go through (000) 000-0000.

Road Damage Questions

Short answers. For anything else, call (000) 000-0000.

I hit a deer but the car still drives. Should I worry?

Get it checked soon. Radiator, condenser and sensor damage often hides behind an intact-looking bumper and shows up later as overheating or warning lights.

Is a deer strike covered by insurance?

Usually under comprehensive coverage rather than collision, but it depends on your policy. We'll work with your insurer either way.

Can a rock chip be fixed without repainting the hood?

Small chips can often be touched up and sealed. Larger or rusting chips may need a small refinish. We'll tell you which after looking.

When does a windshield crack need replacing?

Long cracks, cracks at the edge and damage in the driver's line of sight usually mean replacement. Small chips can often be repaired.

Do you work on trucks and SUVs?

Yes. Pickups, SUVs and work vans are a big part of what we repair.

My trailer hitch hit the bumper. Is that a big repair?

Often not, but tailgates and rear bumpers can hide bent brackets and sensor damage. We'll check before quoting.

How do I get an estimate?

Call (000) 000-0000 and we'll set a time to inspect the vehicle in person. Most road damage can't be judged from photos.

Can you tow my vehicle?

Yes. Tell us where it is and we'll arrange a tow to the shop.

How long will the repair take?

It depends on the damage and parts. You'll get a realistic estimate up front and a call if anything changes.

Do I have to use my insurer's preferred shop?

No. In Texas the vehicle owner chooses the repair shop.
